As a 13-year resident of Douglas County, I appreciate and enjoy all there is to offer in our community. To live here is to experience an exceptional quality of life; strong local businesses, an abundance of parks, trails and outdoor activities and an involved and educated community. In 2013 I took an eight-month sabbatical with my family to explore the world. We continue to travel as often as we can, yet I always find myself coming home to Castle Rock thinking, “I live in the best place in the world.”
My wife, Amy, and I have been married for 20 years. We chose to raise our girls in Douglas County in part because of the excellent reputation of the school district. Celeste, a recent graduate, and Nina, entering her freshman year, have attended DCSD schools their whole lives. While there are so many positive aspects of life here in Douglas County, I see opportunities for improvement in our school district.
I am not someone who is content to sit on the sidelines. It’s time for me to step up. I am running for School Board with the promise to listen closely, understand issues and seek solutions through responsible service. I commit to working collaboratively to serve our county to ensure our public schools live up to the greatness of Douglas County.
LISTEN. SERVE. REPEAT.
